A Speyside Single Malt 1971
Age: 35 years
Distilled: January 1971
Bottled: September 2006
Region: Speyside
ABV: 51,4 %
Outturn: 534
Cask Type: Oloroso Sherry Butt
Price per Litre: 190,- €
Bottled by: The Whisky Fair
Tasting Notes: Heavy Oloroso Sherry already on the nose. The palate is then very much the same, offering a dense & creamy body with a mix of resins and dried fruits. The finish is long lingering, sweet & moutchcoating. With a dash of water added the whisky becomes more complex and harmonic without losing the intensity. A liquid dessert and by the way, a quite characteristic example for sherry wood matured malts from this well-known Speyside distillery.
