Tasting Notes: There`s typical Oloroso-style sherry on the nose: dense structure, sweet liqueurs, old leather, dark chocolate. On the palate raisins come up, maybe some kind of dark fruits that have been put in alcohol for some time, even hints of burnt matches on the finish. Though greatly influenced by the sherry (and) wood, it`s a round, creamy, mature malt - if you`d ever run out of a very old Cognac this one would be an ideal substitute.
